I am a Staff Research Associate specializing in paraffin, frozen and plastic histology, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy. I work primarily with bone and connective tissue from a variety of species including large tissue blocks of human spine and femoral head. I also provide histology support and training to graduate student and post docs .  Recent projects have included making 2X3 inch slides of human vertebra-disc motion segments for immunohistochemical staining to identify nerve, quantifying the stained nerves and assessing endplate degeneration utilizing several special stains.
